Graduate Certificate in College Teaching Program (CCTP)
The Graduate Certification in College Teaching Program, supported by the Michigan State University Graduate School and other MSU Colleges including the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, helps graduate students and post doctoral students develop and document their teaching experiences throughout their graduate careers. The program is intended to prepare graduate students with a passion for, and love of, teaching for successful professional careers as future educators at the university or collegiate level. During the program, students are required to produce an e-portfolio that highlights their unique teaching experiences, professional development activities, and teaching philosophies.

- Prepare graduate students for the transition to faculty positions
- Provoke thinking and discussion about teaching, learning, and the university context
- Provide support for graduate students' considerations and reflections about teaching

CCTP Requirements
All candidates for the Graduate Certification in College Teaching Program must complete a teaching e-portfolio, in which they demonstrate their development and mastery of five teaching core competencies, including: Developing Discipline-Related Teaching Strategies, Creating Effective Learning Environments, Incorporating Technology into the Classroom, Understanding the University Context, and Assessing Student Learning. - Evidence for the development and mastery of the five teaching competencies through documented coursework and participation in relevant workshops and seminars
- A completed Mentored Teaching Project, conducted over the course of a semester or longer with a faculty member who shares similar research interests
- A completed copy of the Graduate Certification in College Teaching Portfolio Checklist
